    Otto Sauer: Radiotherapy Physics

    Summary

    High-quality modern radiotherapy treatments heavily rely on the correct dosimetry during beam data commissioning and plan verification. Our research activity addresses dosimetry and detector response under challenging measurement conditions, such as in small fields, at interfaces, in flattening filter free beams or in highly modulated photon fields, using different 2D and 3D detectors and portal dosimetry. This work impacts national and international dosimetry protocols. Work on treatment plan verification has direct clinical impact.
