    Otto Sauer: Radiotherapy Physics


    Our research concerns image guided radiotherapy and dosimetry enabling accurate treatment delivery. Current research topics are: cone beam computer tomography with a prior image constraint reconstruction algorithm using a low number of projections; portal dosimetry and 2D or 3D dosimetry in general, performing quality assurance of highly modulated photon fields, aiming to enable online dosimetry in a later project phase; determination of correction factors, especially for diodes, for small field and flattening filter free beam dosimetry.  This work impacts national and international dosimetry protocols.
